Pegasus Turbo Charged Microjet Whirlpool Systems

The Pegasus Turbo Charged Microjet Whirlpool System is a true hydro-massage whirlpool system, giving massage not just on the sides of the body, but also on the back and feet areas too!

Traditionally whirlpool baths have been fitted with three whirlpool jets positioned either side of the body. This is great for easing away muscular aches and pains in the legs but does little for aching feet and aching backs. Manipulating the traditional eyeball to deflect the flow of water towards the back or feet is usually a compromise between direction of flow & power of the jet, and the flow of the jet rarely reaches the desired area of pain......

"Turbo option for a truly invigorating aftersport massage"

The optional addition of our Turbo compressor completely transforms the normal bathing experience. It really is "Sugar and Spice". First turn on the whirlpool for a gentle swirling relaxing massage, then press the turbo button and the bath comes alive with millions of bubbles massaging the whole body with an invigorating aftersport massage. Once the aches and pains have been massaged away, simply press the turbo button once again and the gentler whirlpool action will relax away the stress and strain of a long day.

Is it a true Turbo? Yes it is - unlike other systems which use Turbo in their name, ours is a true Turbo system with a significant increase in power over a standard whirlpool system.

How does it work? In a normal whirlpool bath the water is taken from the bath to the pump which then recirculates it back into the bath through the venturi jets. As the water is pumped through the venturi it, goes through a reducer which increases the speed of the water and creates a vacuum. Another pipe is strategically placed to deliver air from the air regulator on top of the bath into this vacuum. When the air regulator is open, air is drawn into the vacuum where it is mixed with the water and forced into the bath. Generally the more air mixed with the water the stronger the massage felt by the bather.

Our Turbo system does away with the regulator on top of the bath. Research amongst our customers shows that three or four weeks after the bath has been installed the regulator is left in the fully open position and rarely disturbed again. In its place we put a safety loop and non-return valve which effectively turns the air supply through 180 degrees to the underneath of the bath. To this non-return valve we then attach an air compressor. Finally an additional of off button is incorporated inot the rim of the bath which when operated, turns on the compressor which then forces air into the venturi vacuum. This forced air greatly increases the amount of air in the bath, which in turn increases the strength of the massage and the buoyancy effect.

"Your Pegasus Whirlpool Bath is designed to look after body and mind"

Technical matters: There are no compromises on the features of the Pegasus microjet whirlpool system. Curved pipework ensures drain down of water from the system pipework to the outlets in the bath. The Pump is fitted to the bath so that you receive the bath as we have designed and tested it.

There can be no mistakes with critical pump heights which could affect performance and hygiene - the plumber simply installs the bath as he would an ordinary bath.

The electrician will find that the pump has been pre-wired so that all he has to do is to take the lead and connect it into the 13 amp ring main via a fused spur and an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker.

There are no compromises on jet positions either. Pegasus Whirlpool Systems incorporate Third Generation Whirlpool Technology to ensure that the jets can be placed on the bath in the right place for the customer. Individually piped whirlpool jets do not compromise the Manufacturer's original design for support of the bath. We use the bath manufacturer's support system in the place it was designed to be. Our jets can fit right up against a bath leg if that is where they need to go and they will not place any stress on the bath!

"Any bath can become a Pegasus Whirlpool Bath - including your existing bath, without removal!"

Options The whirlpool fittings are available in a wide choice of colours to match your bath and also Chrome and a luxurious Shades of Gold to match your taps. A popular option is coloured jets to match your bath with controls in either Chrome or Gold to match your taps.

The unique pipework to each jet forms natural curves to ensure that water drains out of the system after use. The ultimate drainage option is our 'Ultra-drain Pop-Up-Waste' which is specially adapted to allow every last drop of water to drain from the suction and pump. The Ultra-drain Pop-Up-Waste is available in white, Chrome or two Gold.

The turbo effect can be further controlled by specifying one of our '3 pressure' turbo compressors. These compressors can be regulated to three power levels by repeatedly pressing the turbo button. Of course the ultimate luxury is our electronically controlled "Turbo Sensations" system with electronic variable control, wave settings and auto-blow-dry!

Finally, why not create a relaxing ambience by illuminating your whirlpool with one of our luxurious underwater lights.

Features & Benefits

  • Microjets Small size enables them to be positioned virtually anywhere on the bath with out any stress to the bath, enabling the bather to enjoy allround hydrotherapy.
  • No Eyeballs Because the jets can be placed all around the bathing area there is no need for directional eyeballs, the hydromassage is there already. Removing the eyeballs also eliminates hidden dirt traps resulting in a more hygienic whirlpool.
  • Manifold water distribution Provides naturally curving pipework which ensures exceptional drainage of residual water from the pipework into the bath.
  • Individually piped venturi Jets on the bath in exactly the right place to benefit the customer without any stress on the bath especially when fitting jets in the back of the bath.
  • Slim Pipework Can fit past even the tightest bath legs and remain within the confines of the bath. Allows the whirlpool to be fitted without altering the bath manufacturer’s specified legs or positioning.
  • Slim venturi Fit to most baths in the right place without exceeding the confines -even with wooden panels.
  • Powerful Pump Purpose designed pump capable of producing 44 gallons per minute, capable of powering up to 16 Jets from only a 3/4HP motor.
  • Pump pre-mounted to bath Ease of installation. Ensures bath is fitted with the pump at the right height as fitted and tested by us.
  • Optional Ultra-drain Pop-Up-Waste An important consideration when back jets are required on a bath that is to be fitted with wooden side and end panels. This option allows us to fit the pump lower on the bath creating more room for the panel and the backjets, without sacrificing hygiene by retaining surplus water in the system
