And a whirlpool bath is not just a luxury, many people find it gives relief from everyday muscular aches and pains. Warm water bathing for the treatment of muscular aches (hydrotherapy) was introduced into this country by the Romans. Our ancestors would travel to relax and recuperate in the revitalising and 'healing' waters in Spa towns all over Britain. Several centuries later, the Pegasus whirlpool brings the luxury of whirlpool bathing into the family bathroom and enables you at the end of a long hard day to ease away stresses and strains, aches and pains, relaxing in your own bath............in a whirl of your own!

How does a whirlpool work? Pressing a button on the rim of the bath sends a puff of air to a remote pneumatic switch mounted in the pump which serves to both start and stop the whirlpool system. Once started the purpose made pump draws water from the bath via a special inlet and recirculates it back through the 6 jets fitted into the sides of the bath. The water being pumped through each individual jet can be adjusted in direction by moving each jet's eyeball to the required direction. The intensity of the whirlpool action can be varied from a gentle swirl to an invigorating massage simply by adjusting the easy grip Air Control mounted into the rim of the bath.

Options The whirlpool fittings are available in a wide choice of colours to match your bath and also Chrome and a luxurious shade of gold to match your taps. A popular option is coloured jets to match your bath with controls in either Chrome or Gold to match your taps.

The unique pipework to each jet forms natural loops to ensure that water drains out of the system after use. The ultimate drainage option is our 'Ultra-drain Pop-Up-Waste' which is specially adapted to allow every last drop of water to drain from the suction and pump. The Ultra-drain Pop-Up-Waste is available in white, chrome or gold.

The Pegasus whirlpool system is also available as a kit to convert an existing bath.
